I'm Kieran, the designer and founder behind Wilder Mind — an independent web and brand design studio based in Herefordshire.
I work with businesses across the UK to create distinctive brands, websites and SEO strategies that aren't just designed to look good, but actually have a job to do. From building a business's first identity to completely rethinking an established brand or website, I like getting under the skin of a business and figuring out what makes it worth paying attention to.
WHY I STARTED WILDER MIND
Because good businesses deserve better than beige
I've always believed that small and independent businesses shouldn't have to look small. Too many end up with the same safe websites, interchangeable branding and marketing that could belong to anyone.
Wilder Mind was built to do things differently. I wanted to create a studio where businesses could get genuinely thoughtful design without the layers, inflated costs or corporate nonsense that can come with a traditional agency.
The result is a more personal way of working. You deal directly with the person doing the work, ideas don't get lost between departments, and every project gets the attention it deserves.

Over the years I've worked across web design, branding, digital marketing and SEO, helping businesses turn ideas into brands people remember and websites that actually work for them.
That experience now comes together through Wilder Mind. I design and build bespoke websites in Wix Studio, create brand identities with personality and provide ongoing SEO designed to improve visibility and bring the right people to your business.
Having all three disciplines under one roof means I can look at the bigger picture. Your brand influences your website. Your website influences your SEO. Your SEO influences how people discover you. When those things work together, the whole business becomes stronger online.

NO AGENCY LAYERS. NO CREATIVE BULLSHIT.
When you work with Wilder Mind, you work directly with me. There's no account manager sitting between you and the person designing your website, no unnecessary meetings and no passing your project from one department to another.
I take the time to understand what you're trying to achieve, what's currently getting in the way and what your business needs next. From there, I combine strategy with creativity to build something that feels right for your business and makes sense to the people you're trying to reach.
I'm not interested in designing something simply because it looks good in a portfolio. It needs to work in the real world — for your customers, your business and your bottom line.

Wilder Mind works with start-ups, independent businesses, established companies and ambitious professionals across Herefordshire and the UK. Some are starting from scratch. Others have outgrown what they've got and need a completely fresh direction.
Whatever stage you're at, the goal is the same: create something distinctive, considered and genuinely useful. Something that reflects the business behind it rather than following whatever everyone else is doing.
That's what "Wilder Mind" means to me. Thinking differently, questioning the obvious and having the confidence to make something your own.
WHY THE ZEBRA?
we saw this photograph and thought, that's us.
When we first saw this photograph, the zebra instantly stood out as Wilder Mind.
While the rest of the herd were heading one way, this one had other plans. It was rolling around in the dust, having fun and doing exactly what it wanted.
There was something wonderfully rebellious about it — not rebellious for the sake of being noticed, but rebellious because it simply didn't feel the need to follow everyone else.
It seemed completely confident in itself. Happy to live life on its own terms, get a little dirty and worry about the consequences later, and somehow it looked better for it, mesmerising, unforgettable.
It had created something unique — something a little rougher around the edges, but somehow more beautiful because of it.
That became the symbol for Wilder Mind.
We believe businesses should have that same confidence. They shouldn't have to follow the herd, smooth away everything interesting or make themselves fit someone else's idea of what a business should look like.
Sometimes the things that make you different are the things worth holding onto.
So we embrace the dust. We embrace the stripes. And we embrace doing things a little differently.
Because you can follow the herd and look like everyone else.
Or you can go your own way and come out better for it.
